We believe that LIFE's Too Short® not to give back to our community.
As part of our corporate culture, Corbett Accel Healthcare Group has made a strong commitment to not only giving back to the community as a corporation, but to provide means for its employees to ‘give back’ in a way that's personal and meaningful to them.
It's Not All About The Numbers
Once a year, Corbett Accel's Dennis Hoppe gathers with all the CFOs from the Omnicom Group to meet at the annual Financial Leadership conference. But this time, he's brought his hammer. In order to give back to the conference's host city of New Orleans, the group took an extra weekend to build a playground complete with swings, slide, and a colorful Mardi Gras theme benefiting the children of the community. "It was important for us as a company to be able to help rebuild such a vibrant city that opens its arms to visitors," says Dennis. "I'm honored to be a part of the project."
Charity Days
Every year, our employees are offered 2 full paid days away from the office to work at the charity of their choice. Corbett Accel employees that wish to participate can devote their time to helping out a nonprofit organization, whether it's rebuilding a hurricane victim's home, tutoring at an after-school program, or serving food at a soup kitchen. In 2006 our staff volunteered more than 250 hours of their own time.
Hero Hour
Sponsored by a specific group or department but open to all employees, Hero Hours combine Corbett Accel's commitment to give back with our unofficial company-wide policy of celebrating life. When someone's family or friends are in need, Corbett Accel provides the resources to throw a fundraising celebration open to the company. A great deal of care and creativity goes into planning these functions. Whether it's a Hawaiian-themed after-work luau or a fashion event and accessory auction, every Hero Hour to date has been a smashing success.
Other corporate-wide ways we benefit the community include a scholarship program and KidConnect.
